After the plate heat exchanger is assembled, please read these before the normal operation of the production line!

Many plate heat exchanger companies have published articles on heat exchanger assembly. After the assembly is completed, what operations are required for the plate heat exchanger before the production line can be considered normal?

First of all, when using it on a new process pipeline, pay attention to clear the debris in the pipeline to avoid blocking the heat exchanger.

Secondly, if the cooling medium is sewage or waste heat from recycled sewage, or the medium contains particulate solids, a filter or decontamination device should be installed at the entrance of the heat exchanger to avoid clogging the heat exchanger.

Thirdly, if the cooling water is heated to a temperature exceeding 40°C, it should be softened as much as possible to avoid the heat exchanger structure and affect the heat transfer effect.

The fourth point is to check whether the pipeline connection is correct, to avoid mixing of the two media, causing adverse consequences.

The fifth point is to strictly check whether the inlet valves of the cold and hot media are closed and the outlet valves are open before driving.

The sixth point is to start the machine after completing the above work.

When driving, start the pumps for cold and hot media first, then slowly open the inlet valve for cold media, and then slowly open the inlet valve for heat media, so that the medium flows into the heat exchanger slowly to avoid excessive temperature.

Seventh, check all sealing surfaces and all welds for any abnormal phenomena such as leakage.

The eighth point is to slowly increase the temperature, determine and calculate whether the process requirements are met at the same time, and then enter normal operation.

Our RPT engineers summarized for everyone the things to pay attention to when the plate heat exchanger is assembled and before the normal operation of the production line. It is a seemingly "small" but not valued step encountered by 20 years of industry experience, but it is true.
