The first is the number of heat exchanger plates. The number of plates determines the number of flow channels. The volume flow of the medium is constant. When the medium passes through the heat exchanger, the more flow channels there are, the slower the flow rate of the medium in it. 

Then the pressure loss is smaller. 

Furthermore, when the corner hole of the heat exchanger is smaller, the flow rate through the interface is higher, and the pressure drop will increase. 

Also, if the heat exchange equipment is blocked, the pressure drop will increase.
