Plate heat exchanger is a new type of high efficiency heat exchanger, which is composed of a series of corrugated metal sheets. The structure of plate heat exchanger is a kind of equipment for liquid-liquid and liquid vapor heat communication. It has the characteristics of high heat exchange efficiency, small heat loss, compact and light structure, small floor area, convenient equipment cleaning, wide application and long service life. Under the same pressure drop, the heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger is 3-5 times higher than that of the tubular heat exchanger, the floor area is one third of that of the tubular heat exchanger, and the heat recovery rate can reach more than 90%.

The structure of plate heat exchanger is mainly composed of heat transfer plate, sealing gasket, pressing plate at both ends, clamping bolt, bracket, etc.      

The functions of each part of plate heat exchanger are as follows:

1? Heat transfer plate

Heat transfer plate is the most important element of heat exchanger, which is usually corrugated. According to the different fluid medium, the data of heat transfer plate is also different. Most of them are made of stainless steel and titanium.     

2? Sealing gasket

The sealing gasket of plate heat exchanger mainly plays a sealing role between heat exchange plates. Data are: nitrile rubber, EPDM, fluororubber, etc., according to different media choose different rubber.      

3? Pressing plate at both ends

The pressing plate at both ends is mainly to clamp and press all the heat transfer plates to ensure that the fluid medium does not leak.     

4? Clamping bolt

The clamping bolt is mainly used to fasten the pressing plates at both ends. The clamping bolt is usually double thread. When the bolt is pre tightened, the torque of the fixed plate is uniform.     

5? Pylon

The most important thing is to support the heat exchange plate to make it easy to disassemble, clean and assemble.
